I love Spring..

and it looks like it has come to California for the moment!  These are my first Spring flowers from my garden, and I love seeing them all blooming.

I haven't had much time to quilt, or blog recently.  My sweet mom had a fall and shattered her hip.  With the dementia from Alzheimer's, she has been unable to recover from the surgery.  She is in hospice and will be leaving us very soon.

I've worked on a couple of my last few triangles while sitting with her.  The two in the photo nearly done.  I'm so close to the end of my DJ journey.  I'll be so excited to have it done!

Happy Quilting!

Great Fun at Camp

Quilt camp was once again, lots of fun!  One of the great things about being a teacher, is watching the results that come of what you have taught.  Here is one picture of a finished quilt.  Yes, I said finished, in two of three days at camp!  Congrats Susan Fergersen on completing her "Outside the Block" quilt, from the book, Fat Quarter Cut-Ups, by Brenda Henning.  She is not the only one who finished all their blocks, but she put hers together as well!  I'm so impressed.  I spend so much time chatting at retreats that I don't get much done, but sure have fun!  Watch for more to come.
Now, for me, onward to those DJ blocks.  Lots of hand sewing to do!
